【Physical and chemical properties】: Odorless and sweet. Soluble in hot alcohol, chloroform, benzene and carbon disulfide, insoluble in water, petroleum ether, ether and cold alcohol. The melting point is about 55°C.
【Function and use】This product has the functions of emulsifying, lubricating, hardening, etc. It is used as emulsifier, lubricant, ointment base, etc. in pharmaceuticals. Commonly used in the manufacture of creams, ointments, suppositories, lotions, etc. This product is also a food additive, used in the manufacture of emulsified food, cakes, etc. It is also widely used in the daily chemical industry for the manufacture of creams, soaps, shampoos, waterproof papers, adhesives and other daily chemical products. For metal polishing, also for adhesives, dentures, polishes and waterproof paper production. It is used as an auxiliary agent for sizing and leather fatliquoring in the textile industry.
【Applications】
1. Creamy antiperspirant: 2.5 g of glycerol tristearate, 3.5 g of glycerol monostearate. 0.3 g of octadecyldimethylamine, 0.5 g of liquid paraffin, 0.1 g of lactic acid, 1 g of diethyl cyanamide, 40 ml of 50% basic aluminum chloride solution, and distilled water to 100 ml. It can be made into emulsion by conventional method.
2. Massage cream, lanolin 10g, liquid paraffin 30g, white petrolatum 20g, white wax l0g. Glycerol tristearate 5g, glycerol monostearate 2.5g, borax 0.2g, pluronic 0.5g, appropriate amount of flavoring agent and antioxidant, distilled water was added to 100g, and the cream was prepared by the usual method.
[Compatibility change] This product undergoes oxidation and decomposition reactions when it encounters strong oxidants and acids, and generates soap when it encounters alkali.
